The sudden appearance of a new 'Identity and Relationships' subforum yesterday took the SL forumites by surprise. After weeks of harping at LL to create a place where adults could talk about pussy and dick, Amanda caved to the minority cabal and 'voila'. The new popularity of the I&R is reflected in the dearth of threads. Storm Clarence, self-proclaimed master of relationship threads, had his OP yanked within minutes of posting. We caught a glimpse just in time. It was something about SL Pets (not to be confused with SL 'pets'..you know, the collared, submissive kind).
Poor Storm doesn't get it. He pouts when his posts get pulled, ostensibly by his twitter fanz, his public lusting after a woman who was recently married in RL is an embarrassment to him (only he has not yet realized it), and his five known jokes are repeated ad nauseum supported only by his sycophant or alt (details forthcoming), Venus Petrov.
We observed recently that he was demoted from Advisor to Member. This, obviously, a smackdown by mods, led by one of Glenn's Hit Squad members, Caitlin Tobias. Seems that the Hit Squad will hit anything, even one of their own. Brilliant control mechanism. If only Sus would take a lesson.
We will watch how this new subforum develops over the next few weeks. Our bets are on LL demonstrating through heavy moderation how forumites cannot engage in PG-rated discussions about relationships or 'identity'. We believe it would have been better fodder for blogging had Ima Rang's suggestion of suppressing RIC in that subforum come to pass. Unfortunately, since she has no credibility, no one listened to her.
